The Office Assistant is the primary customer service provider by email and phone as well as in person at the Town Office. The Assistant processes a variety of transactions such as registering vehicles, issuing certificates/licenses, accepting tax payments, entering voter registration information, etc. The Assistant completes the daily cash up, reconciles ambulance billing, orders office supplies, posts information to the Town’s website, serves as Planning Board secretary and performs other duties as assigned. The Assistant may also serve as Deputy Town Clerk and Deputy Registrar of Voters.

The position is 34/35 hours per week Monday through Thursday. Health insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick time, and other benefits are provided in accordance with Town policy.

Applicants should possess a high school diploma and possess a strong ability to utilize various computer applications. Municipal office experience, including use of TRIO and various State/municipal communication software programs, would be desirable. Ability to interact with the public in a cordial manner is critical.
