Thanks to all the volunteers who worked Saturday and Sunday in the gardens outside Town Offices. We weeded, deadheaded, and divided perennials and then edged and mulched. It was fun! Several newcomers appeared and joined right in.
Special thanks to Travis Wilson for providing and delivering the mulch we needed on Sunday, and to Cheryl Waterman for operating the front end loader that made the whole event possible.

TOWN RECREATION COMMITTEE
The Selectboard is contemplating creating a Town Recreation Committee. It is envisioned that this Committee would initially focus on renovating/redeveloping the Tennis/Pickle Ball/Basket Ball Courts, Playground and the Skate Board Park as well as exploring the creation of additional recreational opportunities for both youth and adults. The Committee would be strictly advisory in nature. The Board would be looking for Committee members who will provide hands on volunteer work, as well as to recruit other “worker bees”. Other duties would include soliciting donations of equipment and materials as well as cash. Planning and conducting fundraising activities would also likely be involved.
As the Town is currently struggling to find volunteers to serve on various town committees the Selectboard decided to send out this notice to measure interest. To be blunt, we are not looking for people who say “you could do X, Y and Z”, we are looking for people who say “I will do X, Y and Z”.
If you think you might be interested in serving, please contact Town Administrator Terri Baines at [email protected] You do not have to be a resident to serve on this Committee.
