The Planning Board is charged with reviewing applications for Town permits to build improved structures, change of use for buildings and providing guidance to the Code Enforcement Officer. The Board’s primary function is to ensure all new permits issued meet the allowances provided for in our Town Ordinances, specifically the Land Use and Shoreland Zoning Ordinances. Permits issued or denied by the Planning Board or Code Enforcement Officer can be appealed to the Town’s Board of Appeals. The Planning Board is a quasi-judicial Board.
