Fire Extinguisher Training

If you have a fire extinguisher, do you know how to use it?

On Thursday, Nov. 7, at 5:30 p.m., So. Thomaston’s Fire Chief Bryan Calderwood will be at People’s United Methodist Church, in South Thomaston, to provide instruction and demonstrations on their use.

The fire department has a portable device that creates a fire and attendees will have a chance to extinguish the fire as many times as one would like.

Chief Calderwood will discuss the various types of fire extinguishers and which are more appropriate for residential or commercial facilities.

All are welcome to attend and participate.
